Application of Ceramic Sensors
Three popular occasions based on usage examples are:
(1) Low pressure and high vacuum applications:
Compared to ordinary sensors, ceramic sensors can measure differential pressures below 3.5mmHg and can withstand vacuum without causing damage or performance degradation to the product.
(2) Corrosive occasions:
Ordinary metal film sensors need to rely on rare materials for protection in such situations, and even require gold plating to reduce the impact of corrosion on themselves, resulting in increased manufacturing costs and an increase in the number of spare parts. The chemical corrosion resistance of ceramic sensors enables their products to be used in almost any acidic environment.
(3) Abrasion occasions:
It has been proven that it is difficult to use metal diaphragm sensors in abrasive environments such as pulp, mining, metals, and wastewater. These situations cannot be connected with standard taper pipe threads, which can easily cause product blockage. Although using a flat embedded structure can solve the problem of blockage, the abrasive effect of the product can still cause damage to the metal diaphragm. The use of the wear-resistant properties of ceramic materials and the flat embedded method to install ceramic sensors can solve both of the above problems simultaneously. The flat embedded ceramic sensor has been successfully used in the production process of pulp and paper, as well as in other situations where there are blockages and abrasions.
